Interstellar space is not empty at all, rather it is stuffed with cosmic Yeast.
Unlike Planktons lazy lifecycle Yeast is constantly busy, tumbling hither and dither to scoop up
Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen, combining the atoms into a growing abundance of Alcohol.
Cosmic Yeast moves fast and unpredictably, and has so far avoided any direct detection.
However, thanx to Yeast the universe will never run out of spirits, although
there might be local and temporary exceptions on less lucky planets...
