One late night...

One late night I was wandering home, and passed a shop specializing in old things. 3 old counting machines were displayed, and I stopped and wondered: Old calculators were slow and inefficient, and they were large. A modern equivalent would be a microprocessor so tiny, that it was invisible to the naked eye. But, as the photos reveal, these old monsters were quite beautifull, nevertheless...

The photographs

These photographs are not so detailed as I could have wished. But, the shop was closed, and I was standing outside the glass.

However, thanks to my new 12 megapixel camera, I still managed to get close enough...

Please keep in mind that these photos are nightshots; The shop was closed, and the light was poor, resulting in the bluish hue; daylight would have revealed many more colours...

When and where

These photographs were taken saturday 5 July 2008, late night somewhere in suburbian Copenhagen.
